In the U.S., 49 percent of employers reportedly experience difficulties filling jobs due to lack of available talent.
Globally, Japan is having the hardest time finding skilled workers, with 81 percent of employers reporting having trouble filling positions, according to the survey.
While a lack of applicants may be a contributing issue worldwide, there are plenty of workers available in the U.S. Unemployment rates in the U.S. are as high as 10 percent or more in some states.
