A school resource officer arrested a 16 year old Wednesday night after he allegedly stole two rifles from Cabela's Tuesday.

Grand Junction police were notified Tuesday afternoon that a juvenile suspect stole two rifles, hid them in his pants and walked out of the store.

Cabela's employees said there may have been a second person in the store who distracted them while the teenager stole the guns.

School resource officers used surveillance video and other information to locate the stolen guns and subsequently, the suspect.

Florencio Gonzalez, 16, of Clifton, is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a juvenile, repeat offender, theft, obstruction, violation of a restraining order, criminal impersonation and a warrant for failure to comply.

Grand Junction police are still looking for anyone else involved in the crime.
