GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. As we head into week 2 of District 51's spring break, many students are trying to find ways to keep busy.
Grand Junction's Art Center is offering spring break art camps for kids and teens through April 4th.
The camps expose kids and teens to several many different art mediums from watercolor painting to printmaking.
"We always like large numbers, but those numbers never impact experience. we always keep our classrooms pretty low. so we really encourage you to sign up," says curator, Camille Silverman.
The more students enroll, the more variety in staff the center will provide its students.
All instructors are local professional artists looking to get the youth interested in the arts.
Experts say that involvement in the arts during formative years helps young people with their decisionmaking, collaborative, and problem solving skills.
