GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. A warm meal and a little companionship was served up on Tuesday to more than 300 seniors.

Volunteers went door to door delivering a traditional meal with all the favorites including turkey, cranberry sauce, a roll and dessert.

More than 100 volunteers gave their time to deliver the meals across the Grand Valley from Mack to Collbran.

"The generosity of the people of this valley is just there's no way to define it, it's just fantastic," says Rob Jones, Comfort Keepers.

"I came out here because I want to hand out food to people who need it and share with them the love of Jesus during the season," Joey Yamaguchi, a Grand Junction resident.

This is the sixth year for the Christmas Eve meal delivery. The meals were taken to seniors between Fruita and Collbran. Officials with Comfort Keepers say they were extremely surprised by the large number of volunteers.
