GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Senator Bennet stopped in Grand Junction Tuesday as a part of his statewide Innovation Tour.
The Senator's tour of Mountain Racing Products on Tuesday morning serves to highlight the entrepreneurship and creativity of the Western Slope.
The Innovation Tour of Colorado is meant to preview the opening of Colorado's first regional US Patent and Trademark satellite office in Denver later this year.
"Anybody who thinks manufacturing is dead should come to the companies we're visiting today, including this one here, stuff's actually getting made here," says Senator Michael Bennet.
Mountain Racing Products is a leader in creating and patenting mountain bike parts and equipment on the Western Slope.
It's the hope of Senator Bennet that having a regional patent office within the state will help motivate more companies to invent and produce right here in the Grand Valley.
