(ORIGINAL STORY)
What came across the police scanner as a possible traffic incident involving 5 cars, has now possibly turned into a shooting.
Details are limited, and haven't been confirmed by law enforcement but here's what we know from our crew on scene.
Right now, there are 4-5 Grand Junction Police cars blocking off the area near 8th and Grand. There's debris in the street and crime scene tape up. Our reporter can see what looks like a person, laying lifeless in the street, between two cars.
Additionally, another scene is set up near 10th and Gunnison- very near East Middle School. There are cops in a Park nearby there, and our crew on scene saw someone be loaded in an ambulance.
Over police and EMS scanner traffic we heard one person being transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
