Mesa county libraries keep up with the tech boom

GRAND JUNCTION Colo. Whoever said libraries were on the decline...think again! Mesa County libraries are bigger and better than ever.

This week is National Library Week, and Mesa County libraries are making sure grand valley residents know about all the exciting things the library has to offer.

You can always find your favorite books and movies at the library, and now you can also enjoy wireless internet access, public computers, and youth programs for your little ones.

"Books really are a, they're a big part of what we do, but they're not the only thing we do," says Bob Kretschman.

Mesa County beat their own record for circulation in 2013 with almost one point four million materials coming in and out of the library.

By keeping up with the technology boom, Mesa County libraries hopes to bring people back that may have strayed away from regularly visiting their local branches.
