MESA COUNTY, Colo (KJCT) -- UPDATE: Grand Junction Police Department investigators have found 27-year-old Andrea Thinelk. Thinelk’s roommate reported her missing this week, after Thinelk failed to return home for several days.
Police say the 27-year-old left home on her own accord, and had been staying with different friends in the Grand Junction area. Investigators received a tip that she might return home to collect some of her belongings, and went to her residence to wait for her. When detectives spoke with Thinelk she said she was not aware that she had been reported missing.
The Grand Junction Police Department is thankful for the community’s help in locating Ms. Thinelk.

The Grand Junction Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 27-year-old Andrea Thinelk.
Thinelk was last seen at the Walmart on North Ave. on January 31. She is an American Indian woman, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
During her last conversation with her roommate, Thinelk said she was going to purchase bus tickets for her and her daughter to go to South Dakota. We know she made it to Walmart on North Ave. where she cashed a check, but we do not know what happened to her after that. Friends and family say the fact that she left her young daughter with her roommate for this long without telling the roommate where she is is also very suspicious.
If you have seen Andrea Thinelk recently, or have any information about where she might be, please call the Grand Junction Police Department at 970-242-6707.
