Woman gets hit after failing to stop at crosswalk
A woman is rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car.
The call came in just after 6:30pm Wednesday that a woman walking near Texas Roadhouse on North avenue was hit.
According to authorities, the woman was crossing in the crosswalk near 28 3/4 road and North avenue but did not have the signal to walk.
A driver of a subaru saw the woman but thought she was going to stop; instead she walked into the intersection and was hit.
The car was traveling around 40 miles per hour.
The woman was transported to St. Mary's with non life-threatening injuries.
