Woman arrives home to find man stealing car
Car located... standoff prompts evacuations
It was a scary Wednesday afternoon for one woman in the 200 block of Little Park Road in Grand Junction.
The woman returned home to find a person at her house.
The intruder fled the area in the homeowner's vehicle, leaving the woman unharmed.
Since that time, authorities have been able to locate the vehicle.
Two homes have been evacuated near the building where police believe the suspect is located. It is unknown if the suspect is carrying any weapons.
Authorities have asked neighborhood residents to stay inside their homes.
