What's Next For Heather Jensen
Mother of Jensen Boys due back in Mesa County
Since Heather Jensen is coming back to Mesa County on her own will, many are wondering what happens to her once she returns.
District Attorney Pete Hautzinger says since Heather Jensen has waived extradition, the process of getting her back on the Western Slope is a lot faster and easier.
Once she returns, she will be in court within 24 hours and appointed a public defender.
Although Jensen will be in court soon, Hautzinger is quick to say the court process will take some time.
"When she gets here if it goes to trial and I'm not sure it necessarily will, I would expect nine months to a year after she gets here," said Hautzinger.
The coroner's office completed its portion of the investigation into the deaths of William and Tyler and ruled both deaths an accident, but that didn't stop Hautzinger from filing charges.
She is currently being held without bond and is expected to return to Mesa County in the next few days.
