A Weld County man has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison for poisoning a neighbor's two dogs and intimidating a witness.
Prosecutors said 73-year-old Joseph Losinski fed strychnine-laced meatballs to a German shepherd and a chocolate Labrador in August.
Losinski pleaded guilty in October to aggravated cruelty to animals and intimidating the witness.
The Weld County District Attorney's Office said that Losinski was sentenced on Wednesday.
