HOMETOWN: San Diego, CA / Seattle, WA.

EDUCATION: BA in Broadcasting, Acting Minor - Washington State University.

EXPERIENCE: I've been involved in broadcasting since I was 17. I co-anchored and co-produced our high school's weekly television show, Wildcat TV. From there, I volunteered at Bellevue Community College's radio station while I attended.

After transferring to Washington State University in the Fall of 2006, I became involved in the campus television station - Cable 8 - and the radio station - KUGR. During my school years I worked on various student-run television and radio programs, I helped out with regional and national coverage of sporting events at WSU and the University of Idaho, and helped host two Edward R. Murrow Symposiums.

I also anchored, reported, produced, and shot video for Cable 8 News during my senior year. It was some of the best, real-world experience my education gave me. During my summer vacations, I interned at Fox Sports Northwest near Seattle, covering the Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, Sonics (when they were still there), regional college sports, and high school sports.

INTERESTS: I love watching and playing all sports. Some of my favorites include basketball, baseball, tennis, and wakeboarding. I like to watch any sport in HD on my TV. I love talking with family and friends back home in Seattle, as well as hiking in the great outdoors Western Colorado has to offer.

Family, however, is the most important thing to me. And, as I embark on the start of my professional career, that ideology stays the same, if not becomes more prevalent. While I miss my family and friends back home in Seattle, I know I will make my own memories in Western Colorado. And, while I do that, I look forward to bringing the news that matters to you on the Western Slope.

PHILOSOPHY: "A good reporter makes people understand why a story is important to them." - Charles Gibson
