State Senator Steve King has been appointed to the Colorado Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice.
King, serving on the Western Slope, is a former police officer and calls this opportunity "an honor." He says he hopes to help reduce the number of repeat offenders in the Colorado.
The commission meets monthly on potential legislation regarding the criminal justice system.
