Veteran nursing home celebrates 25 years
Saturday was a big day for those who care for veterans in Rifle.
The Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home there has now been serving veterans and their families for 25 years.
They celebrated with special guests, food, and entertainment.
They’re also showing off the buildings new renovations, a $3.8 million project that officials say is all to benefit the veterans living there.
“To be able to actually be in this community for 25 years and giving veterans outstanding care for all they've done for us and sacrificed for us, is just the most meaningful thing that you could ever imagine,” Lori Seim, with Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home, said.
About 70 people, both veterans and their spouses, call the building home.
After celebrating this milestone anniversary, administration is excited to continue to serve those who served our country.
