UTAH -

A Texas woman died Tuesday in a rollover accident near the Colorado-Utah border.

The accident happened just after 9 Tuesday morning on I-70 near mile marker 217.

67-year-old Vivian Cooper was driving the Dodge Caravan when it drifted into the shoulder. Cooper over corrected and the van went through a fence line and rolled.

Cooper died on the scene. 52-year-old Tamra Kindred was also in the car. She was helicoptered to Saint Mary's Hospital with critical injuries.

Utah Highway Patrol says both women were wearing their seat belts.

Troopers are looking into alcohol as a possible factor in the crash.

Both Mesa County Sheriff's and Lower Valley Fire Department responded.
