It was a scary morning for a Union Pacific Railroad employee on Friday.
Around 2 a.m. a vehicle was hit by a train that was passing the area by Hilltop Liquors and the Gunnison River.
There was nobody inside the older model Dodge pickup truck at the time of the crash.
There are no injuries to report.
Sources tell KJCT News 8 that the black pickup truck was stolen.
Our crews on the scene say that the railroad tracks were closed for several hours due to the incident.
Union Pacific representative and officers with the Grand Junction Police Department are investigating the crash.
