Three people arrested in Denver bar murder
Deaths not believed to be murder-suicide
Denver Police have arrested three people in deaths of five people at Fero's Bar and Grill in Denver on Wednesday morning. Investigators said the motive for the homicides and fire was robbery.
According to our Denver sister station KMGH, police arrested Dexter Louis, 22, at approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday night in the 8300 block of East Colfax. That area is best known as the location of Saturday's, an all-nude strip club. Police did not say where Louis was arrested.
Shortly after Louis was arrested, officers said they arrested Joseph Hill, 27, and Lynell Hill, 24 near I-270 and Quebec Street.
"We believe we have everyone identified that was involved," said Denver police commander Lt. Ronald Saunier.
Denver Police said officers with the U.S. Marshall's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives assisted with the arrests.
Saunier said he expects all three suspects to be charged with five counts of 1st degree murder, five counts of felony murder, arson and aggravated robbery.
A police officer on patrol spotted the fire just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, closing time for most Colorado bars. Firefighters found four women and one man dead inside.
Police chief Robert White said there's nothing to indicate the deaths at Fero's Bar & Grill on Wednesday were a murder-suicide, raising the possibility that whoever is responsible is still at large.
The victims included one of the bar's owners, a petite 63-year-old described by those who knew her as feisty and hard-working.
