Three Western Slope men are behind bars after plotting to kill.
According to authorities, the three men allegedly had a plan; to break into a residence, steal money, murder the owner and then steal a car to leave town.
They're all behind bars thanks to the Montrose Police Department Detective Division.
Not many details about the investigation are being released at this time, but authorities did make the arrest of Salvador Cortez-Herrera, 20, of Montrose on Saturday for conspiracy to commit crimes of murder, robbery, burglary and motor vehicle theft.
The Montrose Police Department then served individual warrants to two inmates that were already behind bars at the Montrose County Criminal Justice Center. Those men are Cody Bishop, 20, of Montrose and Jorge Ramirez, 32, of Olathe.
All three men were arrested on conspiracy to commit crimes of murder, robbery, burglary and motor vehicle theft.
The case is currently under further investigation.
