A charter school teacher is facing charges following a hit-and-run accident that left a high school student from another school in critical condition.
Erin Jackson was arrested Thursday. She is accused of hitting a 16-year-old student and fleeing the scene.
According to KMGH-TV (http://tinyurl.com/c87cfv6 ), Jackson is a fifth grade teacher at an Aurora charter school.
She did eventually turn herself in.
Surveillance video captured the victim walking north in the crosswalk at Colfax Avenue and Elizabeth Street Wednesday morning when a gray sedan ran a red light and hit her, KMGH-TV reports.
Jackson is being held for investigation of leaving the scene of an accident causing serious bodily injury.
She's due in court Friday.
