Suspect in death of 10-year-old due in Colo. court
A teenager accused of killing a 10-year-old Colorado girl and attacking a runner is due back in court.
A hearing for 17-year-old Austin Sigg is scheduled for Tuesday.
Prosecutors charged Sigg as an adult with murder, kidnapping and other crimes. The defense could have asked the judge to send the case to juvenile court, but court officials say they hadn't done that by Monday. It wasn't immediately clear if they still could.
Court officials wouldn't elaborate, and lawyers on both sides declined to comment. All cited a judge's gag order.
Sigg is charged in the October killing of Jessica Ridgeway, who lived in a west Denver suburb, and a May attack on a jogger, who escaped.
Prosecutors say he confessed to both crimes. They also say Jessica was sexually assaulted.
