An unattended ATV was struck by a Union Pacific train near Hotchkiss around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, according to Lieutenant William Palmer with the Delta County Sheriff's Office.
The ATV had been reported stolen by its owner.
Union Pacific and the Delta County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate.
