Steamboat Springs has imposed mandatory water restrictions on residents and businesses.
Steamboat Today reported Saturday (http://tinyurl.com/8ayedtj ) the restrictions were prompted by low flows in the Yampa River and the likelihood of continued drought conditions.
Restrictions include three-day-a-week lawn watering and no outdoor watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Home car washing and running-water outdoor features are banned.
