State patrol is investigating a fatal afternoon crash that has closed one westbound lane of Highway 50.
Our crew on the scene tells us the vehicles involved are a small green Volkswagen and a maroon Dodge pickup.
According to Colorado State Patrol, one male victim died at the scene. The other driver, also a male, suffered minor injuries. There is no word on the identities of the victims.
The accident took place earlier this afternoon and has traffic backed up for about a mile.
