NATURITA, Colo. -

Montrose dispatch confirmed a shooting occurred in Naturita on Monday evening.

The shooting apparently happened sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. It happened outside of Ron's Auto Repair at 440 W. Main St. The repair shop shares a building with West End Community Church.

Police are looking for a man named Ronald McGuffee, 47, a resident of Naturita. Viewers say he is the owner of Ron's Auto Repair, where the shooting happened.

Sources say around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, a person was taken into custody in regards to the shooting. It is not being confirmed who the person is.

A warrant is being issued to put all law enforcement on the look out for McGuffee. Law enforcement is being told to use extreme caution when contacting this man because he's believed to be armed and dangerous.

McGuffee is described as 6'2", 230 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes. He may have been riding a 2010 black Harley Davidson motorcycle, according  to police.

KJCT was first informed of the shooting by a comment left on our Facebook page from a viewer who lives in Naturita.

The Naturita Town Marshall said his department is turning over the investigation to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. He says this shooting is a complicated case and want to make sure there are no mistakes when it's handed over to the Montrose County District Attorney.
