ASPEN, Colo. -

The Snowmass Village Town Council is considering easing leash laws in town.

The town now requires dogs to be leashed on any public-access land in town, but a measure considered Monday would create some areas where dogs would be allowed off leash in some areas, if owners have them under voice command.

According to the Aspen Times (http://tinyurl.com/9w6z9b4 ), the council will also consider appropriate locations for allowing dogs on trails.
