A school bus crashed near the Mesa County/Delta County lines Tuesday morning.

According to Trooper Nate Reid with the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened near mile marker 55 on Highway 50, around 8:30 a.m.

Trooper Reid said no children were on board thankfully,  but the driver and a 39-year-old female passenger were involved in the accident.

They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the bus was coming from Olathe when it slid off the highway. They determined the accident was caused from poor weather conditions.
