Salvation Army schedules Thanksgiving dinner
Food will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elks Lodge
The Salvation Army is hosting the Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday at the Elks Lodge, located on the corner of 4th Street and Ute avenue.
Food will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the basement dining room.
According to Salvation Army officials, Easy Ride Limo will be delivering dinner guests from the Homeless Shelter to the Elks Lodge.
The mascot for the Grand Junction Rockies, 'Corky Coyote', will join the Salvation Army to greet kids from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Salvation Army invites everyone to join them for the free Thanksgiving feast. Officials say they'll provide a wonderful dinner and great entertainment.
Officials with the Salvation Army also want to thank everyone who helped them make this meal possible through generous donations and by giving their time to help prepare the feast.
