GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The SWAT team and Sheriffs office joined forces with Toys for Tots today for their 2nd annual toy drive.

The SWAT team was stationed at target to collect the toys which then went straight into the BearCat.

An armored rescue vehicle that could just about fit all of the donated games, stuffed animals and toys for kids in need.

Sergeant Jeff Byrne says the drive is all possible thanks to the generosity of the community.

“It's going very good, the community's been very generous the minute we showed up here people have been bringing us toys and it's been a non stop flow of people bringing us toys, we've even gotten some donations for us to go shopping as well,” said Byrne.

The sergeant told us that last year their team collected 400 toys and they hope to at least match that number this year.
