A tow truck driver is facing charges after authorities say he towed the wrong car and led pursuers and authorities on a chase.
Charles Buckland was driving for PNR Services out of Dolores when he was arrested Monday on suspicion of motor-vehicle theft and reckless driving.
Police say Buckland repossessed the wrong vehicle, prompting the owner to call two friends who gave chase. During the chase, Buckland hit another vehicle, leading that driver to join the pursuit. Two of the three pursuers were cited for reckless driving.
According to the Durango Herald (http://bit.ly/10WhduD ), authorities discovered there was a similar vehicle down the street, each with a license plate that begins with 433. Only the three letters differed.
