Prisoner escapes at Denver International Airport
Authorities are looking for a prisoner who escaped while they were taking him to be deported at Denver International Airport.
Phoday Dumbuya was being deported to Gambia when he escaped Tuesday. He was being escorted by two officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Immigration authorities tell KMGH-TV (http://tinyurl.com/a5zs7cr ) Dumbuya was not handcuffed, but they refused to discuss other details.
Dumbuya was convicted in Denver for assault in 2008 and sentenced to two years of probation. According to court records, he head butted a woman, then punched her repeatedly after she fell to the ground. The victim also told police Dumbuya had threatened to kill her.
