Obama Campaign officials have confirmed to KJCT News 8 that President Barack Obama will be stopping in Grand Junction for a campaign event next Wednesday, August 8.

Karl Castleton, Chair of the Mesa County Democrats, first confirmed the news before a campaign official expanded on it.

According to officials, the President will travel to Denver and Grand Junction for campaign events on Wednesday. On Thursday, August 9, Mr. Obama will travel to Pueblo and Colorado Springs for similar events, according to campaign staff.

It's not clear where the Grand Junction rally will be held or at what time the event is scheduled. We hope to learn more of the details in the upcoming days.
