GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

Although Saturday was the last day of the weekend's annual Powderhorn Ski Swap, it marks the beginning of what some locals are calling a 'long-anticipated' ski season.

This event is all about keeping you safe on the slopes this winter.

It’s the only fundraiser Powderhorn Ski Patrol holds all year.

Ski swap vendors are giving a portion of their profits to the volunteer organization.

The money will buy everything from band aides to emergency sleds.
