Plea hearing delayed for suspected killer of Grand Junction man
Billy Joe Delacey due back in court March 26th
A plea hearing which had been scheduled for early Tuesday morning has been delayed.
Billy Joe Delacey is accused of murdering Luis Vasquez Oliva at his apartment on 29 Road in August of 2011.
He was arrested late last year in Pennsylvania and extradited to Mesa County.
A grand jury indicted Delacey on four counts, including first and second degree murder, possession of sexually exploitive material, and theft.
Delacey was scheduled to enter a plea Tuesday morning, but his defense is being given more time to evaluate the evidence against him before he enters a plea.
That new plea hearing is scheduled for March 26th.
