Outdoor enthusiasts applying for river permits
A group of outdoor enthusiasts are thinking beyond this cold weather.
The Western Slope Adventurers are applying for river permits, excited to take on some white water rafting come summer.
There are only so many permits available every year, so each January this bunch gets together, fills out dozens of applications, and hope they make the cut.
Even though it’s still early in the year, members are already day dreaming about upcoming adventures.
Member Doug Van Etton says, “It’s not the time that most people are thinking rivers. It’s kind of nice to think where this snow is going to be four, five, or six months from now.”
The Western Slope Adventurers encourage members to get active in their outdoor community. It’s always looking for new participants.
