As November 6th comes closer and closer volunteers are working extra hard to reach out to as many people as possible in these last vital days before the election.
Today Obama volunteers went out in shifts throughout the day to encouraging people to vote early.
A group of volunteers have been hard at work meeting at the Obama campaign office located right off highway 6 and 50.
The office has been set up since august and gives Obama supporters a place to meet, make plans and get organized.
People were busy today making phone calls and sending out shifts of volunteers to spread the word about the Democratic Party.
Ken Kemp, a Obama volunteer said, “we feel positive we try to generate positive feelings, we try not to look at the negative side, but we all know that this will be a close election because it is a battle ground state.”
Officials at the campaign office said it's been crazy for the past week as lots of excitement surrounded the visits from celebrity Obama-Biden supports.
Over the weekend the office had a number of visits from celebrities such as Jon Hamm, Amy Brenneman, Jennifer Westfeldt and Laurence Fishburne.
Volunteers encourage everyone to vote early.
As for the Obama campaign office, they say their plan is to keep people stimulated and active for these final eight days before elections.
As for the mesa county republicans, there were no events scheduled for today, but we're told they will also be hard at work campaigning for this last vital week.
