New Year’s celebration giving to Latimer House
Are you looking for a way to ring in the New Year? One local restaurant is celebrating and donating thousands to victims of domestic violence.
The Ale House in Grand Junction will be giving a portion of their New Year’s Eve proceeds to Hilltop's Latimer House.
It hopes to raise at least $6,000 for the cause with specialty martinis, a silent auction with items donated by local businesses, and by reserving select tables.
“A lot of people know or have known people who have fallen victim to domestic violence. This time of year it's a great charity to give to,” Tyrone St. John, Direction of Good Drink at The Ale House, said. “All of our friends and people who like us on Facebook have spoken and the charity they wanted to see was Latimer House.”
The Ale House has already started collecting money for Latimer House.
Those wishing to donate prior to New Year’s should go to The Ale House Facebook page for details.
The actual celebration is Monday night from 9pm until 2am.
