GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The chilly weather didn't deter one Grand Junction man from robbing a convenience store wearing nothing but his socks on Monday night.

Leslie Lind, 32, is accused of robbing a convenience store in the buff.

Arresting documents say Lind was walking near 12th Street and Pitkin Avenue wearing nothing but socks. Police say he also went into Last Chance Liquors and stole a bottle of alcohol and some cigarettes.

When officers followed Lind, he began walking away quickly and dropped the tobacco and rolling papers he stole from the liquor store. When police were handcuffing him, they noticed a glass pipe and bag of marijuana in his left hand.

Lind was first brought to St. Mary's Hospital due to his mental state. Upon evaluation, Lind became frustrated and charged a policeman. Lind attempted to punch the officer in the face but eventually fell to the ground.

Lind was arrested and taken to the Mesa County Jail. He faces several charges including shoplifting, public indecency, assault on an officer and possession of marijuana/paraphernalia.
