Motorcyclist struck, killed on Hwy 50
A 2006 Honda Motorcycle driven by at 49 year-old man from Grand Junction was traveling south on 27 ¾ road when a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Sharon L. Fladeland of Delta was traveling westbound on Colorado 50.
The motorcyclist attempted to cross 50 south and pulled in front of the GMC. The car collided with the motorcycle and the man was ejected from his bike and came to a final rest on 50.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation. At this time alcohol/drugs are not considered to be factors of the crash according to the CSP.
