GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

We first told you about Tanya Abbey in December when her family was facing eviction before the holidays.

Now, the Grand Junction mother has been arrested on suspicion of child abuse.

Abbey, 31, was arrested on Friday and faces charges of negligent child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Grand Junction police, neighbors called authorities after two of Abbey's young children were found outside at night wearing only pajamas.

Police said the children were cold, smelled terrible and appeared to be hungry.

When officers entered Abbey's apartment, they found her passed out on her bed with a man.

Police also said they found needles commonly used to inject meth in the home.
