More "Colorado Proud"
Safeway shoppers will soon see more meat hit the shelves with the 'Colorado Proud' label.
More than 115 Safeway stores across the state will be receiving steaks, roasts, stew meat and stir fry beef from Cargills, a processor in Fort Collins.
Safeway will be introducing its 'Colorado Proud' beef products during Cargills 10th anniversary. The company says its beef will showcase the finest of Colorado's cattle.
The Colorado Department of Agriculture created the Colorado Proud program in 1999.
