MONTROSE, Colo. -

A busy construction season continues at the Montrose Regional Airport with the completion of Taxiway B.

Officials say work wrapped up last week and they will be holding a formal ribbon-cutting on Monday, August 13 at 11:00 am.

The taxiway runs parallel to Runway 13-31 and improves aircraft traffic and safety at the airport. The project was completed by United Companies, Inc. at a total cost of $3,851,953.

The completed construction also paves the way for rehabilitation work to begin on Runway 17-35. Total costs for that project are expected to reach just over $9 million.
