KAMAS, Utah -

A 20-year-old woman has been found safe in northern Utah a day after being reported missing in the Uinta Mountains northeast of Kamas.

Summit County Sheriff Dave Edmonds says the woman was found Sunday morning. She was about 3 miles from where she last had been seen walking a dog near Ruth Lake about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities set up a command post at the Highline trail head Sunday morning to organize a search.

Edmonds said the woman was in good condition but no other details were available. Her name has not been released.
