Mesa County cancels accident alert

Slick spots may still exist, motorists urged to be cautious

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

UPDATE: Accident alert has been canceled, but motorists are still being urged to slow down and pay extra attention while driving today.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Grand Junction Police Department and the Mesa County area is on accident alert.

Accident alert means only call dispatch for accident that include emergencies like injuries or deaths, drunk drivers, or accidents that require towing.

Authorities are encouraging you to take your time on the roadways. Streets are slick and can several accidents have already been reported.
