GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

Mesa County Search and Rescue Control received a donated Christmas bonus today to help them with their training programs and much needed equipment.

One thousand and 400 dollars was courtesy of Citadel Security & Investigations.

The business has donated to search and rescue for three years now.

It hits close to home for Brent Jagger, Vice President of CSI, who says as a former ground team volunteer he understands their need for a little help.

"I know first hand how useful these donations are, and how it goes just directly straight into equipment and training and how much they sacrifice as far as their free time and everything it's totally unpaid and you know all the people that they rescue and save lives every year," said VP of CSI, Brent Jagger.

The donated money goes straight to the ground team’s rescue, avalanche, and tracking training programs, as well as new equipment.

Members of search and rescue say CSI’s generosity is much appreciated as it will assist them in helping keep residents safe.
