If you've been to the Rimrock Walmart in the past couple days, you might've noticed a couple of dumpsters next to a radio tent. That's because 95 Rock was holding its 13th Annual Homeless for the Holidays.

Every year, 95 Rock holds the event and sets up camp for three days, collecting food and cash donations.

Even with the subzero temperatures we saw last night Tommy Rocker, the program director for 95 Rock, spent the last two nights sleeping in a dumpster. But this year they decided to change things up.

“This year was a little bit different. We did a smack down. Tom Eatwell of U.S. bank and I got together and we worked out a little wager. If I got more pounds of food than Tom, then he would have to get his very first tattoo. If he gets more pounds of food than me, I have to cut my hair”, explained Rocker.

He says the last couple nights sleeping in a dumpster were very cold but homeless people across Mesa County do it every day. His sacrifices were well worth all the donations collected.

As for that wager, Rocker told News 8 since they met and surpassed their goal by so much, he and Eatwell will both be honoring their end of the bet.
