Authorities say a husband and wife have been shot to death south of Glenwood Springs in Eagle County.

Sheriff's deputies say the suspected murder-suicide happened just before noon on Saturday. Officials have declined to say who fired the shots, but stress that there is no threat in the Missouri Heights subdivision outside of El Jebel.

The 68-year-old man, Andrew Mazeika, and his 54-year-old wife, Judi, were found outside of their home. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man died after being rushed to a hospital.

Autopsies are being conducted as investigators try to establish a motive in this case.
