GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The Mesa County Safe Kids Project will be addressing marijuana in its next community class.

At least 400 people are expected to participate Tuesday, and there's still another class open in March.

The topic will be “Marijuana and the Adolescent Brain.”

Officials say marijuana use by 12th graders went up and the perceived risk went down in 2012.

The purpose of this class is to learn the truth about how marijuana affects the brain.

Teens and parents are encouraged to attend together.

The class will take place March 11th at the Canyon View Vineyard Church Chapel.
