The Mesa County Coroner has identified the man who died Saturday night after rolling his truck on I-70 near mile marker 34.

KJCT News 8 is learning the man is Fortunato Diaz-Alejandro, 34, of Fruita.

The accident happened around 9:30 pm when the black Ford F-150 veered off the highway and slammed into a fence near the Grand Junction Motor Speedway. State police say the truck rolled almost three times, ejected Diaz-Alejandro and pinned him underneath.

Troopers called in an accident reconstruction team to help them investigate. The Coroner says Diaz-Alejandro had a blood alcohol level of 0.216.

Authorities say the cause of death has been ruled an accident.
