A rollover accident in Delta County claimed the life of a 60-year-old man Wednesday morning, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The accident happened around 10:50 a.m. on Highway 65, near Oatman Road.

Troopers said the man sustained fatal injuries after his Ford Bronco rolled on the highway.

Emergency workers arrived but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the man is from Eckert and they're still investigating the cause of the crash.

They plan to release his identity as soon as his family members are notified.

The Colorado State Patrol,Cedaredge Police Department and Delta County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.

KJCT received multiple calls from concerned viewers Wednesday afternoon.

Crews were on scene for several hours which led to some traffic congestion on Highway 65.
